Let me back up to 2020, where former me would’ve never fathomed watching Bridgerton. Thought it was beneath her. It was so out of the realm, completely not aligned with who I was then. I guess I was too busy running around being so blasé about everything and not at all involved with romance. Let alone a “sappy” romance TV show on Netflix.

But post-pandemie Annie (due to a lot of growth via therapy and self-searching) – omg she’s obsessed. Who knew? And as a creative, how could I not drool over Bridgerton’s set design? Especially The Wisteria House with it’s falling flora perfectly draping over windows and detailing the brick facade. Guhhh. A dream.

So I had to draw it. Or paint it? Illustrate it? Make it mine.

My version is slightly more dramatically swallowed by wisterias. And happens to have a whimsical little hot air balloon. Probably a ball going on inside.

I’ll call it, The Annie Returns to Art Ball.
